The Aussie Round event, also known as "general championship", is undoubtedly "the king of events".

It is an event which combines distance with accuracy and catching.

The rules are simple:

Each thrower is allowed to throw his or her boomerang five times in order to accumulate themost points.

Each throw is worth 20 points, which thus makes a maximum of 100 points in total.
Now, picture a large field with a huge target marked as follows : The centre circle has a radius of 2 metres ; the next circles out have a radius of 4 metres, 6, 8, 10, 20, 30, 40 and, finally, 50 metres.

After a warmup, each thrower stands in the centre circle to throw his or her boomerang.
The other throwers act like spotters: They stand on the tangent of the circles with 30-40-and-50-metre radius in order to check distance and boomerang range ; a judge who stands in the centre circle checks accuracy and catching.

Now, let's see how points are counted up:

- Distance : A 30-metre throw is worth 2 points, a 40-metre throw is worth 4 points and a 50-metre throw is worth 6 points.

- Accuracy : Landing in the centre circle is worth 10 points ; between 2 and 4 metres away from the centre circle : 8 points ; between 4 and 6 metres away from the centre circle : 6 points ; between 6 and 8 metres away from the centre circle : 4 points ; between 8 and 10 metres away from the centre circle : 2 points ; beyond 10 metres away from the centre circle : 0 point.

- Catching : 4 points are awarded for a catch within the 20-metre-radius circle ; beyond that circle, throwers are awarded 2 points. If the thrower cannot catch his or her boomerang, he or she scores 0 point, unless the boomerang lands in the 10-metre-radius circle, distance and accuracy points are then counted up.

Aussie Round is an all-round event which highlights good technical gestures, whatever the weather.

The boomerangs that are designed for this particular event are mainly v-shaped.

Most of these boomerangs are made of composite materials such as bakelite, fibreglass or carbon fibre. These boomerangs can be weighed to increase the range.

Usually, each thrower has several boomerangs in his or her bag to use the one that suits wind strength best.

Sunset is a distance boomerang with a small size. It flies up to 60 meters without effort. Although weighted on blade tip with set lead it remains very light and you will be  surprised that a small boomerang flies so far

Dahlia 60  is a real distance  boomerang As its name suggests, Dahlia 60 has a  noticeable range of about 60 meters This is a less sharp but wider throw. If you throw it well, your boomerang will go very far before gradually rising up and then get back to you.
